You know the one thing that I've noticed among Shygal pics is that the black-robed one with the red hair doesn't get a lot of attention. Dunno why. Not sure what the whole gimmick around Shygals are in the first place. Is it a just generalized sexualized thing or something?

They came to be from an animator/ artist called Minus8. He did a lil animation based on Mk8's dlc, which included more shyguy and yoshi colours if you bought the season pass I believe.

He just did an animation based off of that, with all the shyguys turned into dancing shygals, the red one holding up a banner with the price of the dlc on~

Aaaand they just hit it off from there

Though I dunno if he made the red shygal beforehand or not. He made a piranha plant gal and a koopa gal too

I'll be perfectly honest, the Piranha Plant gal feels more to me like a half-assed monster gal, but maybe that's because I can't see a Piranha Plant anthro being done without holding strongly to the design and not instead doing a gijinka, but that's just me.

But huh, I always wondered what the reason behind the price on the sign of that gif was, I know which one you're talking about.

Yeah though, I would like to see the black-robed red hair one get some attention, but up to whomever draws them.

Well he only does gijinka like characters I believe, unless people vote for pokes

not to toot my own horn, but I actually got a shygal for myself, sure its totally an original idea and no-one has ever thought of it before, but I based mine off of the black hooded one because I thought the red hair looked nice, though I took some liberties in my commission of her to make her more... "original" (if that word has any meaning anymore...) by giving her blond tips, black skin, and thigh high socks with garter belt, as well as an unintentional idea from the artist, by adding a belt across her chest as well because "lol why not?" I feel like she is "unique" enough to not get the "hey you stole that from Minus8", but still follows the... "form" I guess of shygals. Anyway, wanted to throw my two cents even though it doesn't matter :D

Hey, means a fair bit to me when people take the time to customize and make things unique and their own, so I wouldn't say it doesn't matter to me.
