Before you tamed her?
She's got a look like somebody's about to get eaten... Or stabbed.
From her lack of attire, I'm guessing it's the latter~

Lyra don't talk a lot of her life before she was host by Iris, so we don't know much about the context of this piece

She belonged to somebody, judging from the collar... since this is before Iris. Either she was Master's first Pet, or she had a Master who was less than kind... unless she just had a thing for D-ring collars, of course.
Everyone has a past; but not every past life is dark. Though it might explain the lack of bondage art involving her in your gallery...

Did think too much of her story before the moment she made her appearance in my gallery, to be honnest.

But I think it's a good thing to think about it and wy not tell a little story about it.

For me, the story of Lyra is how I adopted her, but it's not very "RP"

I don't know what her story was in the mind of her previous owner, and I don't particularly want to "erase" that either.
So I don't allow myself to write her story from here, without telling or changing what happened before.

It's weird, I know

Sometimes it's not important, but it gives the character life, to have a history, something she came from, so on and so forth.

Consider then her present as well, like if she has a day job, if she's going to school, or if she's a full time Pet...

Might not do so much more than make Roleplay more in depth, but there's that sense of personal satisfaction when you know about your character... even though we're just learning about her now.

You don't need to write a story if you don't want to, but it wouldn't hit to her consistency to give the SharkCat flavor.

Plus... it allows you some structure and depth when you start looking into YCH and commissions, to know what kind of situations she might get into~

She looks really lovely with her expression :)
