This is something I did yesterday, when I wasn't feeling well enough to revise for my exams. I found a post card I sent to Lutien years ago and told him not to lose as I wanted to use it as a reference for a lynx drawing. And so I did. This was done on paper from my black sketch book, so I wasn't sure how it would react to the different pencils, but it seemed fine. I'm really pleased about the fur actually. The background is a bit rubbish, as I got bored half way through.
Oh well, I guess it's time to get back to revising stuff.

PS. It was Lutien and my anniversary yesterday and we went for a meal in a local Thai place. I ate stir fried crocodile!?!?! O_o

crocodile is very hard to prepare the proper way but if done well... it is pretty good I think.
The picture is well done I think. A very good job on the coloring. I can't say much to the anatomy because I am not quite close with Lynx' but I could say that the head looks a little ... hm... hit on the left side? But I might be wrong with that.

It appears that I struggle with all animals on the 3/4 view... O_o I think the faul in the head mainly lies with the muzzle, but oh well. *shrug* I got bored a bit too soon, perhaps.
I have no clue how to prepare crocodile, I just like to order exotic meats in restaurants. (We were supposed to go to a restaurant that served zebra among other things, but alas the credit crunch had killed the place. )

Great. I really like this. Might have something do with it that lynxes are one of my favorite animals. Yup... I like all the details and overall feeling of the picture. Something simple and beautiful.

Really, really, really nice! I had it with black pepper sauce and coconut rice and it was a stunning combination. It's a white meat, textured almost, but not quite like chicken and had a stronger flavour to it. I definitely recommend trying it if you get the choice. Perhaps I was lucky in that the restaurant we went to is supposed to be the best in town and the crocodile was the chef's recommendation, so I knew it was going to be superbly cooked. Definitely good stuff! ^_^
