This is soooo gorgeous! *w* The lighting is just magical, and that backlit highlight on the characters makes them stand out nicely, amongst a similarly coloured background. :D

I specifically wanted some nice backlighting like you mentioned from the very beginning... I remember explaining that part to the client when it was still in sketching phase. It is nice to hear you took note of that, and liked the result! ;) Thanks for the great comment!

Really I would think that compliments not asked for would be sincere ones. but when you request for compliments, its kinda hard to be sincere ones. Although I never did anything romantic in my life, so I really would not know how all that works.
Anyway, nice painting. The colors really set the romantic mood. And their eyes have so much depth in them. like you can get lost in all eternity in them.

I have not seen the new one yet. I was thinking about going to see it. However my friend informed me that its a heavy musical. live action musicals are often hokey to me. And Disney has not been that good with musicals lately. Most songs are really cringey, and they try and pack a whole lot of songs for no reason. I kind of feel like they would break into song just because someone drops a spoon. Its rare that they get it all good. The original Beauty and the Beast had good songs, but not too many of them. Lion King had excellent songs. Well till the special addition when they sung the morning report, which I think was bad. But just my opinion.
