As you might have noticed the Tyraeli's color scheme has changed from blueish grey and red to green. That is because I slightly redesigned them a while ago. WHY did i do that you ask?
Well its simple really. You see, there's not just one tribe but like half a douzen maybe, living in different terrain with each slightly different culture and such. There are a handful of tribes that life in the jungle/rainforest. And i wondered why would creatures that spent their entire life living in such terrain have blue/grey colored skin with bright red spots? That wouldnt be of great help when it comes to hiding and camouflage.
So what you see here is the new official coloring of a male Aluerkawo. For better comparison I tried it out on an old lineart you all know ;D
I wanted the color and markings to look as natural as possible, just like creatures habitant in the rainforest could actually look. Sure, its not unique but i dont want no fucking sparkle-lizards. oh and i repeat again, the Tyraeli are mammals, they dont even have scales but thick, leathery skin. ;D
so, what do you say? lemme hear your opinions! =]

Green's nice but there are certainly vivid color schemes in the natural world, hell look at tegus, gold dust gekos, madagascar blue lizards, fire skinks and sea snakes. That's not even mentioning birds and fish and primates! I think it's less what colors you use (provided they dont clash too hard and etc) and more how you use them and what patterns you go for.
More wounds. More metal. A lot more feral.
Scary, to say the least. Looks like tribal tattoos as well.
Looks like they believe in the power of their own bodies, and augmenting the power of their claws with steel. The leathers hardly gird their loins, more than probably make it convenient for carrying weaponry with them through brush and maybe bracing tendons for long walks or leaps necessary to traverse the thick lush greenery.
As green as they are, they definitely are there to spill a lot of crimson. To return bloodied in your foe's ichor probably is one of their honors of battle.
