Well here is my Computer Graphics major Project in progress. We have to program a scene and some animations using OpenGL in c++. at the moment, this is turning to be a ball rolling round a landscape.

Its far from complete though, eventually i'll have textures. I made the ground rainbow, since If the ground were all the same colour, it would be difficult to view the landscape.

The landscape actually models a part of Mars. I downloaded some height data on the surface of Mars from a NASA website (the MOLA dataset) and mapped out the landscape.
