i believe with most the wheat being created instead of grown by the government some of our bodies have developed a sensitivity to this fake wheat :) (did you know they made beef without the cow 0.0)
my mom became gluten intolerant as well i know sometimes its something your born with :) its an allergy after all but some of us just couldnt take eating that fake wheat all our lives and i guess our bodies decided to tell us no :)
