He stood on the other side of the one way mirror, watching the scientist as he learned there was no way out. He reflected on how they got him, how they got so little, how their plans went so wrong.
"For the Leader the best of us, you seemed to have done terrible." Came up his accomplice from behind, "Your henchmen managed to get away with a scientist and one of their lab rats."
"I almost had one, and almost killed all four girls." He replied, eyes still on the scientist, and how he would try to get out of his bindings and chair. "Besides, we still have him and it, Like you said. How long till we can control it?"
"You think it's that easy to control someone like we control that guy?" The cat said "He's only here because she's here, and the best we could do to keep him, is leave his too busy to think of an escape for them both."
"These two are another story." the armored dog said "They're simply trapped, no bonds, and no reasons. We just have to give them those." He started to walk to the door of the room.
"If you say," his accomplice said "But they already hate us."
"Make them not, Graft." And he stepped into the room with the doctor.
"Pathetic," Professor Graft murmured and watched through the glass. "He may be forgetting something..."
"What do you want?" Walter said as he looked at this armored dog "Who even are you?"
"The one's your company ripped off." He said to him and stepped closer. "Now I'm not gonna hurt you..." And he walked behind him "Maybe... I'm not someone who cares to waste anything. From a simple species, to a brilliant mind." he walked in front of him again "They, could care less about you, they let you get taken when we attack."
"But the sisters," Walter said "Those two who helped me out..."
In a flash the dog was in his face snarling "Forget about those girls! They would have left you for the cops with a life sentence!"
Walter jolted back against his chair at instance, "I would've taken that." Walter said "I'd still be alive and, for the most part, safe."
The dog growled and flipped his chair, knocking him to the ground, and then he was gone
Rift appeared back on the other side of the glass "Put him with the labrats," he growled, frustrated "he's never gonna cooperate!"
"Only with you give up that fast." Prof. Graften said "He's trying to be brave because he feels he could die."
"And I'd have given him better if he worked with us." Rift looked at him, huffing hard.
"What he's looking for, is a chance to live," Prof. Graften said "Offer him life, and see what you get.."
Soon afterwards, The armored dog reappeared, and he lifted Walter back up right. "I think we set up of the wrong foot."
"I'm not gonna work for you." Walter said
"Then don't,"he said "We just need the research, and we'll let you back on the outskirts of a city."
"Which one?" Walter asked, "And how do I know you won't just call the cops?"
"If I didn't want you here, You'd be dying of leukemia." he said "So if you want out and safety, Just recreate the notes."
Walter looked at him, swallowing hard "Okay, Okay. Just get me out of this, then some papers and pencil."
"In time," he said "I'll return." and then he was gone.
Rift was back with the professor "Get a study ready for him." He said and started to walk away. I need to arrange a way to get him out of here.
Graften looked back into the room though, looked at Walter. "I don't know." He said, cracking a smile "Given his research was a success, maybe he could become like what Final brought in..."
