So I guess you're saying the lions aren't used to being rolled and rubbed since cubhood. Sigh, I've lost my chance with them. But maybe they've been handled by, well, handlers, so they're calm enough to realise we're not threats, but don't wanna be food. Rub, maybe cuddle; but no biting or scratching. Maybe they'd rest their heads on my leg and doze off.
