You do so many phoenixes haha. XD And yeah baby birds are hideous. XD I raised one once...looked like a mix between a bug and a dinosaur.

oh yeehh I DO love phoenixes even than I have never been so fond of birds) I mean I liked birds but non more then any other creatures. Now I look back at my arts and realise that last years I drew birds more often then any other animals))

I feel ya there. :3 There's a reason my main character is a Phoenix haha. Plus I love drawing and sculpting feathers.

Phoenixes are born from the ashes of their mother supposedly...
When they die, they burst/explode into ashes, from which from which their offspring supposedly rise in a blaze of fire...

Ooh.. I've never thought about this bird in this way - dying mother and nascent child - I thought that in the world there is only one bird, renewing periodically.

What is spoken about these birds is the same in practically everything based on this ancient myth and legend created thousands of years ago.
Even in some series, like Harry Potter, they wanted to keep their series similar to the IRL myth and legend created and believed by humans during the BC ages.
The IRL myth and legend is sometimes ignored though, for example in Final Fantasy series, they used artistic licensing to have things differently.
Original IRL myth and legend is still my favorite though as a source for knowledge on fantasy beings.
