I didn't order anything from you but I do know that well. Lots of friends are artists and sometimes you push a little too far. This is understandable and commendable that you would press forward for a long stretching but viable goal. Sometimes we fall flat. Do what you can for those who hired you on then dust yourself off and get back into it. Light stuff maybe then go from there. I like what you make and hope to see you try again. Smaller steps at that future time of course. ^.^

It's healthy to be aware of what you can and cannot handle when art is such an emotional skill. Hope it's not upsetting you too much.

It's good to know your limits, seeing such a massive load was absolutely staggering.

There is nothing wrong with this, if its too much its too much, take care of yourself before taking care of work. Pushing yourself too hard only ends badly. Battu did nothing wrong.

Quick skim through your page kinda indicates a few possible reasons: You don't have the commission info page set up, nor have that green "accepts commissions" thing you can turn on in options. Also, while you've been on here since 2005 you don't seem to have made too many connections with people, with comments given being 1/4 of the comments obtained.

Give it some though.

As somebody who just started taking commissions, I can say that this is spot on advice. It's amazing how much one can accomplish by just being nice, having fun with others, and making good friends.

XD I just wrote from experience. Been open for commissions for quite some time and I don't get too many people, but that's honestly not a problem since I can just do my own art and someone may come when they see it uploaded.

I don't blame you one bit. That's a tremendous amount of work to take on, even for someone who's honed their craft as finely as you have. I would have felt like I was taking apart a sand dune one grain at a time. And while I'm amazed at the speed with which you can create quality art, it's still not a switch that can be turned on at will.

It was a mistake, but not one worth beating yourself up over. And you're handling it maturely.

Were you getting that many requests that fell outside of your comfort zone? Your commissions page is very specific about what you will and won't draw.

Yeah, 100 sketches could be super crazy daunting :x I typically push like 30 a month and that's draining >.< Plus if you're doing color ones plus personal art, plus plus plus, tis a lot, no one can fault ya for cutting back.

Hey Gill! I just wanted to say, considering all that you do, you are one of the best and most hard working artists out there. You dont cut corners on things, you're consistent, you have a unique and beautiful art style that is very unique. It's good to see you taking a step back, afterall, i took one look at your commisions line-up for people, and i felt dizzy thinking about trying to do all that! So it is very understandable and wise that you have decided to take some steps to relieving some of your work load.
