Wow, that's really good. Very thought provoking. Does a good job illustrating the, er, paradox I guess, of living as a good person and doing what is morally right. Hurts to live and see the innocent fall as easily as the corrupt. We want to escape, to leave the suffering behind, but we still don't want to leave, to die. So the good and just stay, to fight, to do what is right even when hope seems lost.

At least, that's my take on what it means.
