Hey folks, Bootz here with a new Dungeons and Durgons related piece featuring Dirk. I haven't really played this character as often as I'd like but that doesn't mean he doesn't have some fun lore here and there, most of which includes how he first met his husband. In short-

Time For Backstory!

For those that don't remember Dirk was born into a nomadic lifestyle, it's because of this, along with the nasty scar he received, that his social ques are not as good as they should. That and with his family being the only interaction he's ever had with people aside from a trader or two when it comes to people who he doesn't know he rely's on his base instincts. Those instincts? To shoot a dirty look and hope nobody messes with him, which worked for about 75 percent of the time. The one time it didn't was when he had gotten jumped by a group of petty thugs.

Once he was of age he went out on his own to live much like his parents, but this wasn't without it's hardships. One of those resulted in a mugging where some petty thieves weren't so easily scared off, at least up till he decided to put up a fight. Being trained in basic combat at the time he was able to hold his own pretty well, however one of the thugs didn't like to loose so they feigned surrender leaving Dirk wide open to get back stabbed once he took pity on them, a mistake he would never make again as Dirk didn't take too kindly to being stabbed as you can tell. This left the cheetah rather vulnerable, more so when he had obtained his nasty scar. Unable to treat his wound he laid against a tree cursing himself that his life was about to end right then and there...or at least it would have if not for the curiosity of a traveling halfling.

Being understandably cautious Dirk growled angrily the moment the halfling came close to him, shooting his trademark dirty look hoping he'd run before he'd have the chance to do anything to hurt him. However this halfling wasn't scared off so easily, in fact he shot a dirty look right back and told him "Ya can growl all ya want but you're still gonna bleed to death, so if ya don't want that do me a favor and stand still." before pulling out a first aid kit and getting to work, and while Dirk was still weary he wasn't in any condition to complain since this halfling did indeed know how to treat his cuts and stab wounds. After he was patched up the halfling almost went along his own way before Dirk stopped him, standing up practically looming over him before bowing and thanking him for tending to his wounds. From there the halfling figured that Dirk was in no way a bad guy and offered to take him in till he was fully able to travel again since he figured that the poor cheetah didn't know where he was going, Dirk wasn't about to turn him down and from there they went to the halfling's village.

And that is the first half of Dirk's first meeting with his husband. I haven't figured out a name quite yet so if any of you have a few suggestions put 'em down in the comments. That being said those of you who watch me and the stream this is tied to have probable noticed a severe lack of streams outside of  Prisma_Lin stream and another one that fills in both the Saturday AND Sunday slot. That's because our campaign has been put on indefinite hiatus due to lazy DM. So should you have any complaints bring them over to  arcticsnow1 (I'm kidding of course don't actually do this even if he is lazy).

Unsure if the game will be picked up again but that doesn't mean he adventures of our heroes have to end there, I'll still be doing sketches here and there's always  Prisma_Lin game that streams as well so the madness isn't gone for good. I may make a few doodles featuring their game, who knows? But for now that's all I have and here's hoping you enjoy ^w^
