Although I split design aspects of this ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1188598/ ) character like half a year ago... I never really sat down to draw them out.
I did it for several reasons, one of which being the fact that it looked too much like another character, causing some confusion. And by that I mean a few thought I was drawing THAT character. Although I talked it out with the owner and everything ended well I still felt a change was needed. Another reason why I split the design is because I liked the results of one particular experiment... results that couldn't be used because it ended up feeling like a different character altogether.
This one retains much of the surface elements (including the markings, scar, hair, and "finned" tail) as well as the gender identity issues which I find particularly interesting. Although she is biologically a female, I may draw this character as male (like in this drawing, done for Onta's http://www.hardblush.com/ ). Nothing that happens in this state should not count as canon though.
The only real difference is that now her race is set in stone (ie colour swap). She is a hybrid otter... the hybrid parts coming from the long, finned tail and the light markings. Also, her goggles now serve a purpose as do her arm covers and leggings (which are webbed now). I hope it's obvious but water plays a big part here.
Although similar... it is not the same.

It's been forever since I've seen a drawing of her. So long, in fact, that I've forgotten her name. x.X Also, you've left nothing in the gallery to imply her name short of "Tint update". So, rather than assume, I'm going to inquire as to it.
I'm extremely happy to see you finally settle on a design for this character. I'm hoping that means I'll get to see more of her. Otters are fun! Can I get you to reveal any more details about the race or the purpose of the goggles? (As if the look wasn't purpose enough. XD Fashion accessory, I say!) The abstract background is great, and from what I recall of her personality, it fits very well! She looks cute here, not that I didn't think so before, hehe. I hope to see more of her in the near future, Tsampikos.
