I drew this in 1972 along with a short short to illustrate it. In the end, I never completed the story, but illustrated the it anyway. I guess I was a lot more interested in the art than in the writing. I don't thing, the art was ever scanned or shown to anyone either.

"brezhnev" & "nixon" with their spaceships parked outside,
one arguing some state socialism thing and the other going "shut up and take my money"...
with today screen-and-keyboard computer (and a handy device for navigating) imagined in 1972...
AAA Ace Interplanetary Decontamination Service
has something to do with this (at least in inspiration) ?

I think I understood the story anyway.
I love every detail - the modern computerized office as imagined in 1972 (not too far off the mark I'd say) - the 'taur in the BG awkwardly with the poor human (egad, just how far back does this furry stuff go?) - and I also see the chair backs are split to accomodate any tail imaginable.

There has always been an undercurrent of "furriness" to science fiction, with aliens that are sometimes insectoid, reptilic or, yet, furry. And then there have been "talking animals" of every sort, from Disney to Aesop. But I do like to think of myself as a pioneer of the two melding together in my art, starting in the late 1960s, when it didn't seem to be a "thing" yet.
