For this final "Throwback Thursday" in April, 2017, I have a few more unique 'photo-ops' from the Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital in Coral Springs, Florida - taken (on April 9th) by my brother Glenn with the digital camera feature of his smartphone...
Here is another bird we saw (in a separate cage) at the facility: a Great Horned Owl (a native species of the 'Sunshine State'), sitting on his perch. (This picture was snapped, moments before one of the park rangers entered its enclosure to feed it mice.) Like many of the other fauna at the nature center, said owl was physically disabled; in this case, one of its wings was broken beyond repair. Ergo, he is in no condition to be released into the wild...
I will have yet another 'photo-op' from the SNC later today. This current one (and others posted earlier in the year) will remain in my 'Gallery' until July, 2017 - when it will be transferred to my 'Scraps' section.
