Sigrún's village is happy to have a birch forest nearby. It's a good thing especially when the spring comes, when this tree can give you some good birch water :) But this is not the only way the village's dwellers use their birch forest - here, for example, Sigrún collects some bark, which will be used later to make a tar, and her friend Eldur cuts down some older or weaker trees to prevent them from falling onto someone some day, and to get some wood of course ^^
