I conclude my last "Throwback Thursday" of April, 2017 with one last 'photo-op' from the Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital in Coral Springs, Florida - taken (on April 9th) by my brother Glenn with the digital camera feature of his smartphone...
Two of last week's pix from said nature center featured a great white heron - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/23279027/ and https://www.furaffinity.net/view/23279192/ - who (I'd mentioned) shares its cage with a turtle... Well, to be more specific, it happens to be a tortoise - who turned out to be quite active that day. He walked along the fence, until he found a spot to graze on the grass next to it.
Eventually, the park ranger came along with some natural food (lettuce) for the tortoise to eat, in addition to the grass.
If you'd like to check out some of the other fauna my sibling and I saw at the facility, just click on SawgrassNatureCenter in the 'Keywords' section, where you'll see over a dozen other snapshots of the captive wildlife. And if any of you happen to be in south Florida, feel free to check the place out. It's located at 3000 Sportsplex Drive, Coral Springs, Florida 33065. Or call their offices at 954-752-WILD (9453).
This 'photo-op' (and other current ones like it) in my 'Gallery' will eventually be transferred to my 'Scraps' section - effective July, 2017.
