You wouldn't enjoy that. As much fun as a Wankel is, the torque needed in heavy machinery just isn't there. The Apex seals wearing down would always be a factor and it eats oil like nobody's business. If that's not enough, it's the only engine I know of that has a oil injector. The Wankel is more of a novelty engine rather than a workhorse.
I meant small equipment.I keep reading that they actually made equipment like mowers and chainsaws using tiny wankels in the 60s-70s and I even saw a cut away at my county fair about the size of my head and the owner said it was 30 hp although what for I didn't ask. and Because of oil consumption California wouldn't allow it.
