"My brother mistook you for a pie," Apollo said casually.
Pumpkin wasn't sure how to respond, still trying to get over the sight that this dog's entire appearance and personality had changed in an instant. Her instincts were screaming at her to run away like she usually did when something frightened her, but something about his demeanor made her stay. His confidence wrapped around her like a safety net.

Apollo could sense she was uneasy, however, so he tried his best to tone down his forwardness a notch. "I'm Apollo, my brother you just met a few minutes ago is Toby. What's your name?"
Pumpkin hesitated for a moment before replying with a small smile, "I-it's Pumpkin."
"A dog that smells like pumpkin pie who's called Pumpkin..." Apollo grinned and chuckled quietly. "Nice to meet you Pumpkin." He held out a paw before adding as an afterthought, "Oh, and about the whole body changing thing. I'll explain later if you want."
