Bio:
Born into the lap of luxury within the land of Yamar, the young bat grew up not having to want for anything. Growing up, Klahan Krit lived a sheltered life - having been largely kept confined to the ritzier parts of Tshanra's central shopping district where him and his family lived and did business. As much as his parents begged and nagged, they could never really convince Klahan to focus on his studies, and the bat generally performed in a manner mediocre at best, abysmal at worst. During school, Klahan was always quick and eager to stand up to and fight bullies - often defeating them with relative ease, but getting into much trouble.
Having been introduced to marital arts training at the the fresh age of 7, Klahan took a keen interest in said discipline. Not only that, but the promising young bat showed an exceptional aptitude for the fighting arts, quickly becoming more and more adept at the arts of Khanai and Kra-Daab - a form of kick-boxing and sword-fighting, respectively. The young bat formed a particular friendship with his Kra-Daab instructor, Phanom, due to his unerring enthusiasm for the martial art - the two bonding to a father-son level. The master instructed Kla to help people when he could, and stay true to his ideal. By about age 14, Klahan had mastered both of the aforementioned styles, and had trained extensively in Grima and Pinion Tsun. Though his parents attempted to later restrict Klahan's dedication to the martial arts in order to focus on more scholastic skills, Klahan tended to buck and focus regardless.
When Klahan reached his early teens, he would soon venture to the seedier outskirts of the city - his curiosity piqued at what lay beyond the gilded trappings of his sheltered environment. He was shocked to discover the plights of poor folk trapped in their squalor within oppressive ghettos. The Bat attempted to get his parents to help and contribute to helping these people, but they refused -believing them to be responsible for their own upraising, and no one else. In response, Klahan soon started taking a small portion off his parents' riches to try and alleviate the problems of the downtrodden. His parents were alarmed by Klahan's insolent rebellion, and punished him by forcing him to quit his martial-arts training to focus solely into as much education they could cram into the bat's schedule as possible. The young teenage bat chafed under the strict guidelines imposed on his life and eventually ran away at the age of 17.
Having grown weary of his sheltered upbringing, Kla decided to travel and see what he would find in Yama and beyond. However, before he left - Klahan visited his master one last time to bid farewell to one of his most beloved figures. Learning of the young pupil's plans to leave, Phanom attempted to dissuade Kla - so that he would be safe and find his way back to his undoubtedly worried parents. However, it was clear Kla couldn't be swayed - Phanom quickly reminded of his own rebellious, fiery youth by Kla. Instead, the Master begrudgingly wished Kla luck on his journey, but not before passing down his treasured family sword to Kla for good luck.
Kla spent the next several years travelling the Wasu continent, often involving himself in the troubles of others - trying to help wherever he could. The first couple of years were rough on the lone travelling bat, often times being beaten half to death by the thugs and criminals he battled. He may have had a considerable amount of training and aptitude in fighting...but the Bat had very little fighting experience before his travels. As a result, Klahan was often lead to the cusp of death until experience sobered him up and forcefully refined his combat style and tactics. Luckily for Klahan, the bat survived long enough to adapt to field of street fighting - leading him to become a warrior and force to be reckoned with. He eventually found other martial-arts instructors on his travels, further adding more styles to his repertoire. Due to the sheer variety of opponents he's fought and masters he's learned from, Klahan has accumulated an immense amount of experience and technique into his repertoire - helped by his own innate aptitude.
In the present, Klahan wanders the world with hardly a care in the world - happy to be free of any particular responsibilities. The bat frequently battles thugs and those who oppress the weak, garnering a mixture of gratitude from those he saves and bewilderment from those who see him as a naive idiot. The Bat has very little plans for the future, and prefers not to think of things outside of the moment. Klahan stands as one of the world's greatest fighters, who wanders wherever the winds may take him.
