Hey there everybody, got a new adorably little tiny teen for you.
Don't have much to say about her, been working on her reference picture and her bio for a while now as stress relief from everything going wrong so I hope you like her...
Anyway I'll just let the bio speak for itself.

Personality:
Sweet, shy, timid, and sensitive Clara comes off as a dainty, sheltered little rich girl. She is socially awkward and bad at reading people or talking with them. It is incredibly obvious she isn’t used to interacting with strangers since she is easily terrified (if they’re aggressive or energetic) or flustered (if they’re affectionate or compliment her). She manages to mask some of this shyness with rigid adherence to manners and politeness but once introductions are done her true nature tends to shine through clear as a bell.
Despite her awkwardness Clara is an incredibly dedicated and driven young lady who constantly puts hours into perfecting her talents and skills (ranging from battling to ballet) to try and compensate for her natural weakness. She’d be able to show off her efforts if she were better at handling attention and compliments which tend to trigger her social anxiety. This is sad since she really, genuinely wants positive attention. She’s just picky about the type. She wants to be noticed as a talented young teen... NOT as an adorable little girl or, even worse, as a toddler or baby. In fact referring to her in childish terms (unless your family) is the easiest way to bring out the pitifully spoiled and whiny little girl side she normally hides with kindness and manners. But her whiny side can come out when Clara is embarrassed or when she doesn’t get her way (she is a bit spoiled after all).
Another childish side that Clara has isn't quite so hidden. Despite her social anxiety and tendency to panic or otherwise stop functioning when given attention, she will happily brag about her family to anyone who will listen. All the pride she is unable to feel in her own ability comes bubbling forth whenever she talks about her families achievements and skills. When this happens she tends to look and sound like an eager little girl who wants everybody to know about how amazing her mommy, daddy, and big siblings are providing a surprising contrast to how quiet and reserved she is normally.
Along with her often hidden whiney side and her pride in her family Clara has other childish quirks like trying to deny that she has any childish traits (for her own mental well-being if nothing else) and getting incredibly attached to rituals that make her feel big. She also tends to be extreme in how she feels emotions (super happy, super sad, super scared, etc) when she’s not being shy and timid leading to emotional outbursts that are out of place with her actual age. Overall she comes across as a little girl who, despite being mature for her age, is trying her hardest to act like she’s big.
History:
The youngest child of a semi-famous family of actors (Ranging from stage to screen) Clara rarely wanted for anything growing up... save for getting to spend more time with her parents or two older siblings. Unfortunately, despite her family doting on her a lot, her parent’s careers kept them constantly working and her siblings (who were respectively 10 and 14 years older than Clara) had school and lessons of their own keeping them busy even before they started their careers as performers. So Clara ended up spending most of her time under the doting care of Nana, an older Aurorus woman who’d been working for the family since her elder brother was a toddler.
It soon became very clear Clara wasn’t quite like her older siblings. While shortness was normal for her family Clara was abnormally small even for a pre-evolution. She also had troubles like a weak bladder and was far more sensitive than normal, particularly when it came to temperatures. While normal alolan vulpix need to keep cool to be comfortable and generate ice crystals in their fur and tails to cool themselves when in hotter environments Clara needed to cool herself in temperatures that would have barely made other ice foxes uncomfortable. This constant cooling (or not-cooling and fidgeting in the “heat”) stressed the weak little fox out and resulted in accidents... both the “Trip and fall” kind and the kind she should have outgrown when she was potty trained. Because of this (and Nana’s insistence they go the safer route to prevent accidents) Clara has been in diapers since she was in kindergarten despite being functionally potty trained.
This problem and her small size made it very hard for her family, being among the nouveau riche and lacking influence, to find a school willing to take her. When they finally found an academy willing to take her it became the one place in the world Clara genuinely hated since the other students (and even the teachers) didn’t like that they had a “Toddler” in their midsts. Some of them ignored her, some of them bullied her, and some of them doted on her and treated her like she was helpless... and the last one was just as bad (in Clara’s mind) as the first two. This kind of treatment drove Clara to, among many other things, try and take up battling as a means to prove them wrong. Eventually the snow fox’s grades and battle record (though mostly her grades) gave her the chance to attend the Pokemon Combat Academy where she hopes to finally get some respect and positive attention... if she doesn’t melt into a puddle (or MAKE a puddle) out of fear first that is.
Fighting Style:
Clara’s fighting style was made to compensate for her physical frailty and glass jaw. Which involves a lot of running and hiding. She launches Hail (boosted by her Ice Rock brooch) as soon as possible and uses Snow Cloak to try and hide in the blizzard while lobbing special attacks (in which she happens to specialize) at her opponent from as big a range as she can manage. She also incorporates her various trainings (such as using her breathing control from her vocal training with Ice Wind and her ballet training to dodge) when she fights. If she was less prone to panic and tripping and falling (on top of her glass jaw) she’d actually be an impressive threat.
Miscellaneous:
- She doesn't actually NEED glasses and the pair she wears whenever she is in public is fake with just clear lenses instead of prescriptions. She took to wearing them in public sometime around 3rd grade in hopes that it'd help her look smarter, less childish, and make people take her more seriously… while they shockingly managed the first two (which is more a testament to how babyish her face is without them than anything else) they have completely failed at helping the snow kit be taken seriously.
- She has been trained in multiple different skills thanks to her family's views about performing. Among these skills are singing (including being taught several traditional primarina arias), ballet, acting, and playing instruments… though she's taken to some of them (singing and ballet) better than others. She also rarely practices her acting skills (despite her family insisting she's a natural) since most offers she receives or her family considers viable for her involve playing a child age 5 or under if not outright doing diaper ads.
- While Clara haaaaaaaates being treated like a child/toddler/baby she has several childish (or outright infantile) habits and traits including sleeping with a pacifier (Nana insists since Clara still sucks her thumb in her sleep and drools on the pillow so the pacifier keeps Nana from having to wash the pillows ever night), loving her collection of dolls and other very girly and childish toys (which she plays with regularly), loving bedtime stories, having a fondness for baby carriage rides through the garden (which she will never admit to under normal circumstances), and other similar things.
- Clara has a MASSIVE sweet tooth with a love of cakes, confections, and any other kind of sugary treat you could enjoy with tea since Tea Time (the kind that involves a full set up that looks like a enlarged version of a tea party) is one of her favorite hobbies… a trait she shares with her siblings since her parents (when they made it big) rushed to try and appear high class and fancy (and NOT like the island locals way out of their depth they actually were) and adopted several "Sophisticated" habits like Tea Time, teaching it to their kids in the process.
- She has a deep appreciation for movies, television, and theater of all kinds thanks to her family (often asking nana to take her to the movies or to see a play when she has nothing better to do) but has a particular interest in the magic girl genre ever since her big sister got a break out role as an actor (one of the secondary heroes) in a live action magical girl series… though her interest is more thanks to her sister (who is a major otaku) and the fact Clara looks up to her than anything else. The vulpix even based her battle outfit on magical girl uniforms in an attempt to follow in her sister's footsteps… to mixed results (the term "Magical Pre-Schooler" has been thrown around more than once).
