I am growing more and more pessimistic that we will manage to complete the restoration of our cart in time for the pony play event in May. At the same time, I look at the long-term weather forecast for Mid-May… and it stays at 6° to 9° Celsius; not really a good weather to go carting. Reason to give up? For sure not. But we try to keep the pressure at a bearable level. We try to avoid choices in hope we could speed up the process, but that would only result in things we might hate about our restoration later. So, we keep our eyes open for details, even if they are time intense.
Today the bottom gets the last coating. But before we get to it, we fix some more details on the upper side, like removing nail left overs and clean up the old rusty metal parts. Primer for wood and metal is added. And eventually we get to make a little test for the shafts that I shortened by 0,7m.
