This was part of a discussion with two guys about a comic called The New Adventures of Alan Moore's Beard, in which Alan Moore's beard would go out at night while Alan Moore is asleep and fight cyborg Hitler's mustache. Originally, they wanted t have the beard leave his face, but I thought it'd be funnier if it dragged Mr. Moore around while he was asleep, and illustrated what I thought the moving beard would look like.
