Thought I'd start uploading some of my music on here!

This is actually the first song I ever wrote, although I've only got an instrumental version here. I only wrote the music, though, not the lyrics.

Originally composed in 1995 (I was seven years old), I had a couple of kids' Peanuts books (from "The World of Snoopy" series). I think they were supposed to come with cassette tapes, but I never had those, only the books themselves. And within each book are a few poems, which I think were actually songs - but as I said, I didn't have the cassettes so I never knew how they went! I'd been playing the piano for just over a year when I decided to write my own melodies to the poems in these books.

Anyway, the first poem in the book "Snoopy and the Great Pumpkin" is called "The Turning of the Leaves", and this is the music I wrote as a kid to accompany it. This particular arrangement though is from 2003 (by then I would've been fourteen or fifteen), when I got my hands on some MIDI software and wrote down the score just the way I wanted it to be back when I was seven.

Also, when I first wrote this, I'm pretty sure it was just a melody and didn't have much (if any) in the way of an accompaniment. I added the accompaniment over the years as I learned more about music.

I'm not really a songwriter in all honesty; most of my compositions are written as soundtracks for animations and video games. But I wanted to put this one on here because it was the first proper piece of music I composed and that makes it special to me!
