Well here he is guys! After about 6 and a half hours of work over the last couple days hes complete. I am very happy and proud of him and was even able to make his head movable. This is my very first time EVER sculpting him out of clay. I really love him and will be putting him on my entertainment center to look over me. I want to try tackling a larger one that I can take to conventions with me and sit on my shoulder but I have not figured out how to do this yet. I may try tackling a standing 12 inch one first and then move up from there. God I am going to need a lot of purple paint hahahaha. I would of done this long ago but I did not have the skills to do it till now and I am glad I did. <3 <3 <3 Long live the Jersey Devil he is immortalized with my childhood.
Materials
I used Ultra Light Sculpy which I like better because it cures hard and is not brittle like ive had issues with other sculpy.
Paint
Hes painted with Artfolk Enamel paints and I had to use two acrylic colors. The Green for the Nitro bottle and his face because I did not have those shades in enamel.
Time
He took me roughly about 6 hours of straight work. Sculpting him was actually the easy part as it only took me about 2 hours. The hardest part of this was carefully painting him , waiting for it to dry before i could put the next coat on then assembling him was simple. The mouth was challenging because you have to have a very very steady hand to paint such tiny detail with a small brush and same goes for those nooks and crannies around the sculpted parts.
Size
This figure actually came out a lot bigger than I thought he did. From horn to butt hes 6 Inches tall
hes 5 inches long from foot to wing
hes 5 inches wide from wing to wing
