The original sketch was drawn by lane83ky at the Acorn Cafe, I traced and coloured it, added shading and the background.

I thought Chip looked intimidating in the original sketch. In this image he's positively scary. I wouldn't want to be whoever he's mad with.

Chip: "You've messed with my friends, now you're going to pay."

Some folks at the Acorn Cafe have said that Chip looks a bit like Darkwing Duck in this image. Until it was pointed out, I didn't realise it myself.

I did try including a lightning bolt in the background, but the results were rubbish, so I took it out again.

The image uses six layers: a solid black background, a grey sky, a colour gradient over the sky, the basic lines and colours on Chip, the shading on Chip, and finally another gradient to give a night-colour tint to Chip.
