The content of the art wasn't relevant to what I was mentioning, though I guess even fetish art can be improved upon.
Either way, hopefully you'll be more open to critique once you take art more seriously if that's the case. Perhaps even one day become a professional animator like you aspired to be a few years ago.

animation isnt the world for me and i have more visceral passions in the natural sciences than i do art

art is something for me to have fun and relax, as a private and nonsocial person i dont really care or have a pressing need or obligation to share my work and ideas online, so you dont see everything i do for a reason. its not something im looking for attention on anymore

I didn't think I was snooping, I just read some of the many public journals you post. I would hardly consider that as private information, wouldn't you say?
I understand if animation is no longer the path you are taking, everyone switches their career paths at some point in their lives. I hope you enjoy the pursuit of the natural sciences and the (I hear) difficult course loads it can bring. But, never be afraid of pushing yourself even in places you may consider comfortable.

your comments insinuate that you kinda care more about my being a former animation student and not going for that career as opposed to the public updates ive posted about switching directions, health updates i feel are ok to express, and realizing where i have go from there and what i do to take care of myself

I thought those kinda guys were all about how STEM fields are superior to the arts, what? ...But it's pretty clear he's just trying to antagonize.
HONESTLY the 'keep improving at a constant linear rate until you die OR ELSE YOU ARE A BAD ARTIST' is so damn juvenile. Whenever I see somebody hawking that ideology I know they must either be young or not very worldly or both because it just doesn't work that way when you're an adult with more important concerns than making sure your just-for-fun furry ass expansion art is 20% better than it was last year.
ANYWAY THOUGH rambling tangent aside, this is pretty good! I'm not always a fan of that sort of exaggerated body type, but you draw it well with a nice sense of weight and shape to it. Coral is a cute sea beastie.

yea apparently they have a history of harrassment so.... not surprised
like man if i was still in the art industry, yea!! i would probably still be pushing myself to make sure i can keep up. but now that i have the luxury of keeping art as a hobby? not really concerned w it. i keep picking up things and learning other stuff, which is great imo, but not wholly necessary for me at the moment
BUT THANK U.... tbh i really like exagerrated stuff and would love to play with it more and how i can bring my sense of weight into it since i tend to draw fatty rolls more than simplified shapes for fatter characters :0c

Yeahhh it's pretty apparent there wasn't any good will there--just the desire to be a shit-stirrer.
Exactly--pushing yourself hard for a hobby *can* be fun, but only when you have time/energy for it. No sense in making yourself miserable for something that isn't even gonna be your job.
