All of us have an inner voice that urges us to create, and the artist known as LapinBeau http://www.furaffinity.net/user/lapinbeau/ has done a great job in bringing out Abel's inner director for this piece.
The Winnipeg Amateur Movie Makers have been around since 1935 and has been a place for film and video enthusiasts to meet with like minded people, discuss the latest innovations and to review one another's work and now even eighty years later our members have been in touch with all the changes in the medium.
From Celluloid, to Magnetic tape, to Video Disc and now Digital, our club has understood that while the technology will continue to advance the one thing that won't change is that people will want to make the most of their equipment. Whether it's in the use of the camera, editing the material or just good storytelling the W.A.M.M. club members have always been there to help one other produce a better finished product.
We would like to invite anyone in the Winnipeg area who is interested, to join us each month learn, share and participate in the great hobby of videography and film.
-Where can you find us?
We hold our meetings at the Church of the Way on the corner of Lilac Street and Scotland Avenue
(One block north of Grant Avenue)
-When do we meet?
Normally we meet on the Second Wednesday of every month at around 6:59 PM
(although this month we are a touch uncertain because of some important personal events in the lives of several members. It's always a good idea to check a day or two in advance to confirm the meeting is happening)
-Should I bring anything?
Mostly yourself.
If you have any short videos you have done or want creative input on that's good.
A buck or two for the Coffee pot is always appreciated.
Cookies and other snacks are not necessary (but we won't turn our noses up at them either)
It's a great excuse to get out of the house one a month, meet like-minded people and socialize a little.
And Please, if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.
