Technically part of the three word monster creation thing but I ended up only using two words this time: glowing and dragon.

The Needle Dragon is a subterranean monster that's generally considered among scholars not to be related to the dragon species. The name is thought to come from idiot adventurers taking one glance at the large, glowing creature and legging it.

The Needle Dragon is quite unique, the top half of the creature drawing in the eyes with it's glowing neck and chest, framed by the sleek, long dragon like head, and the four large arms. Beyond the glowing section it's body immediately tappers into a long, wide, ribbon like tail. Despite it's length, the creature can not move like a snake, instead it drags itself along with it's arms. It may seem slow but it can launch itself forward quite quickly. It however doesn't handle cornering too well at speed.

The Needle Dragon is a predator, initially attacking prey by spitting globs of glowing goo that emit noxious fumes to confuse or disable before closing in and stabbing with it's incredibly sharp talons. The monster does not slash or swipe at foes with it's talons and it's theorized that it's taloned "hands" and arms can not tolerate such impacts from the side.
