Zeke had a rather difficult childhood-his father, Jake Morrison, a policeman from Celadon city, was known for his rather agressive behavior. Situation at home was not different at all. He constantly harassed and his wife Lucy, a kind and goodhearted person, but too weak to defend herself from her maniacal husband. Despite the fact she was putting up with her husband's constant beating hoping that way their children will be safer, he had a sick enjoyment in beating the eldest of his children, Zeke. At the age of seven, he was nearly killed by his father, who left him with a huge scar above his right eye and a smaller one on his right ear. That very same evening, Lucy finally stood up to her husband and knocked him unconscious, took the children with her and ran away. Zeke knew that they won't be safe from their revenge-seeking father, so he started training early to be prepared for confronting him. That's why he wasn't chubby as other Zangooses when he reached puberty, but rather well built, which attracted a lot of girls.
He signed in PCA hoping to improve his skills, with the scar on his head as a remainder of the one who won't stop at chasing him and the ones he loves. Him and his childhood friend, Xander, formed a team, which was soon accompanied by Yun and Annie. At first constantly arguing and disagreeing in certain things, Zeke and Yun soon became a couple (at some point, thanks to Xander's efforts).
