Here's a thing I dug up recently - my old GCSE coursework!
I wrote this not only for GCSE Music, but also the school play. I had been given a poem about war and had to compose a song, using the poem as the lyrics (the oboe track is the melody that's meant to be sung). I sang it in the school play at the end of year 10, while being accompanied by one of our music teachers on the piano and two fellow students on the flute and bass.
Sorry for the abruptly short notes here and there - that's thanks to the MIDI software I was using back in 2003. Fun times, huh?
Anyway, this isn't quite the final version I don't think (I'm sure I tweaked the flute part at the end), but I did score perfect marks for this piece when I submitted it as coursework. Sure, my MIDI software was weird and had a mind of its own, but I guess I got there in the end.
