For this project, there was no highpoly sculpts. I blocked it out from primitives in Zbrush and retopo'd in in Blender.
It's just a Diffuse map painted in 1k in 3DCoat, downscaled to a 512 png with alpha ingame. (1k seen here)
I also did not use an AO to get a base (not much help without a highpoly anyway), I just..painted it much like I'd paint any 2d.

Uhm I had a brief run-in with topogun, but it crashed like 5 times in an hour of me trying to follow a basic tutorial.
Needless to say, that didn't inspire a lot of confidence.
The Zremesh has..limited use. Some things it can retopo well, but only in very rare cases could it be used without additional modification.
Zbrush isn't made for retopo. (Decimationmaster + UVMaster can be great for static objects tho!)
3DCoat also has a competent Retopo and Unwrapping Suite, but I prefer my Blender with a few Addons for the job.
