after all the tits and booty I have uploaded before I left for a while I decided to throw in some concept sketches
Here is the data
Name: Common Woodcrown ( Woodcrown family)
Height: 26-33 feet ( 8-10 metres )
Weight: 4900-5500 pounds ( 2,25 - 2,5 metric tons )
Diet: Mostly herbivore ( feeds on trees, casually leftovers and carcass')
Speed: up to 55 mp/h ( 88,5 km/h)
The common Woodcrown is a heavily armored herbivore that feeds on tree bark and ttree sap, which it does rather carefully to prevent the tree from dying.Once it latches onto a tree, by piercing its scythe-like appendages through the bark and wrapping its "lips" around the tree, 3 rasp-like tongues will start to hack, smack and scratch away the tree-bark. After the Woodcrown has succesfully removed the treebark, the "drinking" tongue will then impale the tree and start to drink some of the sap. When it feels well feed, it secrets a bacteria and virus repellent saliva on the part of the tree it feed on via the 2 other tongues. This Saliva not only repells Bacteria but also hardens after a while and serves as a substitute for the tree bark.
Due to his strange feeding habit, Ornith sarcastically call it " the bark muncher" or "tree hugger"
the Woodcrown is basically blind but can sense heat with the organs on its head and vibrations via the antenna protruding from the neck.
It usually walks slowly on 4 legs , sometimes on 2 though. it is capable of balancing the whole weight of its front due to the size and weight ob it's tail which is also used for heat regulation in their blood-stream.
When threatened or agitated ( by smaller predators) it will take a broad stance and show of the dangerous feeding hooks as well thump the immense front claws into the ground, accompanied by a low frequent guteral belching sound.
If all warnings fail it will either try to spit some of the salvia into the attackers eyes or try to wound them with one of the front legs. the last and most dangerous defense of a Woodcrown is to deflate it's neck ( which basically is just a long tube of muscle with a sensory head attached to it) and retract it into its crest ( that also gives the family its name) which only leaves a wall of impenetrable armor to face. only difference is that this wall starts to charge with speeds up to 55 mp/h at the attacker, balancing the weight and turning with the tail, leaving very little room to escape.
hope you like it. might draw it more often in the future and do some changes to the design.

>v< thanks a bunch dear. I really like this creature too. I might tweak around with the overall design idea thought ot make it looks more fluent and alien like.
Glad you think so.
hehe yeah it was a random idea when I looked at the neck and thoguht it could be part of some sort of defense.
>w< thanks again. the idea of a neck mouth isn't new but I guess the way it is used might be new.
