Someone's been sleephiking again...

Hehe. They're hungry after a bit of sleep.

Well I hope it's not that bear who actually broke in 2 summers back; a hell of a mess it made.

We have a basin wide ordinance to have bear-proof garbage houses set back from cabins. Sadly not everyone has one put in, and renters still to this day leave trash laying about.

Worse .., bears that habitually break into cabins are not darted and relocated. They're shot!

And as much as I love these RL critters home owners, if armed, can legally kill a bear if it's inside a cabin; it's considered an imminent danger.

And no.. we don't have a gun as yet. We're on the California side of the lake and the State is making it nearly impossible to own one .

I'd throw the can of pepper spray at the bear and run away. No way in heck am I or wanting to be that close to a bear......Except for Muddy.
