Background: Chris's birthplace is unknown. soon after chris was born two families were being pursued near the Fastfoot home village, a fastfoot family and a treeclimber family. the mothers of chris and fieora we're forced to leave their children outside of a house in fastfoot village. chris and fieora were taken in by the village elder, he said that these two children would change the world. fieora was outcast from the village at a young age (this is about chris though... so). Chris was never liked much by the other fastfoot, because of his birth not taking place in the village. The master sensed in him a growing ammount of elemental proficiency. Chris'es element took him astranged... most fastfoots recieved either wind or earth as elements, but chris, Water. the elder taught him a self defence art, it was nicknamed by him as "old rodainian" as it was not being taught to fighters anymore (weapon training became more popular). he spent his childhood learning to fight to earn the trust of the villagers and to protect his "home". the master told him everyday, "you are a hero, never fall into villany, the dark path is never the answer. no matter how tough it is you must do what is right!". on chris'es 18th birthday, the elder sent him out to the nearby "temple of the elements" ( a place where all of the elements gather to make a spirit). after chris spoke with the spirit about his near future, the spirit granted him a chestplate worn by an ancient hero who used the elements to save the world, it was christend by that hero as the "I" armor in referance to the I on the front. the hero had the letter placed on there in gold, as it was forged together he said "this is the eye that can see true heroes, it will remind it's weared that I can see him, making his claim as a hero of this world". nobody can remember the name of the hero, but chris still takes heed of his words every time he looks at the armor, it never lets him lose hope. after he returns the elder tells chris that he has to leave the village and travel to make his start to become a hero. on the walk towards the felinos city of , cardoft, chris is rushed from the trees by a mercinary. held at sword point the merc. tells chris that he has been sent to kill him. scared chris throws a punch out straight into the mercs. gut. chris says, "I can't let you kill me". the merc. tosses his cape off, to reveal a treeclimber, "i am Fieora, i was outcast from your village.
now, for payback i MUST kill you!". chris jumps into a ready stance, "yeah, and who is telling you to do this?". Fieora readies his blade, "antroras, the leader of the guardainians, want's me to get revenge for my harsh childhood by killing any adventurer that leaves this village" . chris stands down, "revenge huh, then i guess i can't stop you. but let me tell you, you are walking the dark path, and that is never the right path. you can come with me to cardoft and i can show you that I am not what you want to kill".
Fieora looks to the ground, "the dark path huh", he looks up at chris "who told you that!!". chris says, "the elder from the Fastfoot Village". fieora's eyes light up, "you are also a student of the elder," he sheaths his blade, "i was forced to leave the village because my element, fire, was causing harm to the village and citizens". chris smiles and says, "they never liked me either, only the elder had faith in me". Chris and fieora became friends that day.
