Tanya Sombrioso and her sister Tara have always had a strong yet friendly rivalry. Tara was the older one, got higher grades in school, evolved at an earlier age, and was just generally better at things than Tanya. Graduating near the top of her class from the PCA a few years ago, Tara has gone on to the professional leagues and is just not starting to make a name for herself, recently appearing in Playmon as Ms. March in order to promote her up and coming career.

Whereas a lot of similiar situations result in bitterness and jealousy, Tara has instead always been very supportive and encouraging, and Tanya has always looked up to her older sister and worked to be as good as she is. A good student at the PCA herself, she made good grades and did well in battles, just never really stood out. However with her recent evolution into a tyranitar, she aims to change that.

Shaking off what she perceived as the limitations of her prior forms and with some large footsteps to follow in, Tanya is determined to make just as big of an impact as her older sister, if not more so, no matter the venue. Though she's been on a few teams during her PCA career she's currently flying solo, looking more to prove herself than worry about other people on a team. Outgoing almost to a fault, she knows what she wants, knows what she likes, and has no qualms about stepping up and taking it. In fact she already has a photo session of her own lined up after graduation...
