Another proposed - and rejected - new character idea was Avalyn, or as she prefers to introduce herself, Alvin: a dark elf sorceress, who, since in drow society only men can become sorcerers, disguises herself as a guy as best as she can. It was a fun idea but the GM vetoed me bringing a drow to the game.
