Ven was pretty much alone most of his life. Both of his parents were deceased when he was very young. He tries to be a part of society but he was always shy around others. Whenever he would try to interact with other people, he would become too nervous and end up being shunned by people. His closest friend would be a river. He spends most of his time by rivers. The soothing sounds calm him and it also provides him with fish and water.

One day the cannigals caught him by the river and brought him back to their campsite. He was of course frightened when they prepared him for a meal and devoured him. However he found himself able to revive thanks to the potions the cannigals provide for him. The potions are of course the special potions Canime gives to the cannigals. Ven became to frightened by them to leave. In his paralyzed state the cannigals however cared for him for a few hours. They provided him with food and comfort. The kindness was mostly to comfort him so he'll leave on his own, but instead made him stay by their side. He finally felt like being with people who want him. At first they were annoyed by him staying but eventually liked the idea of a deer boy they could eat over and over.
