[Fakemon] Kalvmet and Krashaberm
I know most of you don't come here for this sort of art but occasionally I enjoy designing some fakemon. For these guys I was challenged to draw a fire/ice type and I went with a comet design.
Kalvmet:
Thermal Ore Pokemon
Fire/Ice type
Cosmic stardust is its favorite food. It uses the intense flame within its body to burn this dust for energy. It fire its internal flame through jet spouts on its body to propel itself. In order to regulate its high temperatures around trainers and other pokemon, it controls the proximity of ever-frozen rocks from space with a gravitational pull.
Krashaberm: (evolves at level 33)
Cosmic Trail Pokemon
Fire/Ice type
Krashaberm trails a series of frozen rocks behind their cores that can be swung as a powerful frozen weapon, or have them hover around their center in a defensive circle. It carefully sharpens the ice on two of its rocks to form a functional pair of claws. Groups are seen shooting across the night sky in an intense light, sometimes alongside Minior.
---
Abilities:
-Levitate
-Mineral body: Rock-type moves are powered up
Signature Moves:
-Comet Tail Mist: A frozen mist the likes of that in space forms around the target, potentially freezing them.
Non damaging; 60% chance of freezing the target.
-Freezer Burn: The target is flash frozen in an icy blast, possibly leaving a burn.
Krashaberm-Exclusive. Special; 30% chance of burning the target.

That design is better than what I've seen in the latest few generations of Pokémon. o.o
Also a very interesting idea for a fire/ice type by making it a meteor.
There's only one thing I have to question, what is the gender and gender ratio of this newly discovered Pokémon species? =3

Oh boy...I gotta lotta stuff to say about this line.
First off, theming makes sense, but the designs look more like pieces of volcanic rock with some ice on them rather than comets.
Secondly, the Typing is...bad. Sensible, but bad. 4x weakness to Rock plus not a lot of resistances isn't a very good thing for a Pokemon to have. Plus, wouldn't Rock/Ice be a more fitting Typing? Sure it's got more weaknesses but at least it would make sense.
Thirdly, the Abilities could be better. Levitate will only save it from Ground moves and Mineral Body doesn't do much for it, not even in relation to its Types.
Fourthly, no stats? REALLY? Stats are one of the most fundamental parts of a Pokemon along with Abilities and moves! Though judging from its appearance I imagine the line will have low HP, somewhat high Attack, above average Defense, high Special Attack (cause Fire and Ice logic :V), low Special Defense and high Speed. All in all, a frail speedster that would be OHKO'd by a Rock move, possibly without STAB.
Lastly, the signature moves could be better. A simple 60% chance of freezing an opponent and a move with no Power shown for it? The Special Attack also matters here, as it would need to be high in order for this move to be usable. Though Rock-Types aren't known for having a lot of that stat (even if this isn't a Rock-Type but it certainly looks like one), so I imagine the move wouldn't do much damage.
Overall, not very good. The style and amount of time it took is respectable, but it still isn't good.
