I can just hear it (and excuse me for RPing):
"Hey, man! Wake up! Don't die on me! Get up, Trooper! ... God no..."
*later*
"Come on, captain! We have to go before the beam fires!" "But... but my squad-" They're gone sir! Get the hell on the ship, now!"
...
...
...
"I let them down... I'll never forgive myself, or those filthy Rebel scum."

So I was right. My condolences for his loss.
Imperial admiral: Report.
Lieutenant: Heavy casualties on both sides sir. The Star Destroyers Intimidator and Persecutor were both lost with all hands. Trooper ground casualties prior to the glassing by the Death Star include TK-32028, TK-4012, TK-40121, (etc.). Deceased commanders include General Sotorus Ramda and Director Orson Krennic himself, who were both killed in the superlaser blast. Only one of the Death Troopers, DT-1811 aka Captain Rook, survived. His squad was lost during the battle. Only about 350 survivors made it off planet before the initial blast. DT-1811 is currently in mourning and is currently going through a state of post-traumatic stress he has requested mental leave, as well as been recommended for it before he can properly fulfill his duties.
Admiral: Granted. The last thing the Empire needs is someone who can't fight. Make sure he is returned to duty as soon as he is mentally able. Have all relatives informed of deaths. And, Lieutenant?
Lieutenant: Yes, sir?
Admiral: God forbid if the Devastator can't catch that damned blockade runner in time or more blood is going to be spilled.
