does that happen often whenever you suit and wear the swim shorts? I would imagine that would be annoying, I think the trunks are cute and all but I would probably find it a hassel.

nah its not to bad, the trunks are really baggy on the suit so it dont feel tight. and the back has a hole sewn in for the tail with snaps at the top so its easy to unsnap them to take the shorts off.
