Soulbirbs are an evolved version of my Cascabeles . with the passing of time, cascabeles were mutating to be more according to the gravity of the planet.
At the same time their metal heads were covered in fur to avoid them freezing so easily (they really hate being cold)
♥ Along with their now covered but still hard heads, they were developing a better brain (more acurately, a brain XD) complete with a digestive system and eyes. their little heads are not hollow anymore (and now they have theets to chew things and tongues to lick everything X3 )
♥ They still have that need to grab things and keep them on their mouth.. however now they tend to chew on those things.. there fore you can see a soulbirb chewing on a rock, and it wont be a strange sight.
♥ Thanks to Skabel, who beneficted their evolution, and their massive amount of love and positive feelings, plus the constant eating of rocks.. they developed a new kind of material, the SOUL STONES. their bones are mostly composed of soulstone :D
♦ SOULSTONE: its a very hard and easy to sharpen material, composed of the favorite color of the sould of each Soulbirb. they grow in their hands as powerful claws that are FULLY retractable into their hands.. however they rather keep them either always retracted or always out, because the process of retracting them is uncomfortable and often painful.
Those who choose to get their claws out all the time, are often spotted sharpening or licking them :3
♥ Due to their heads no longer being hollow, and needing space for the new organs, Skabel decided to place the arms on their body, for a more accurate (and strong) body, and so they would stop looking so weird and hopefully avoid bullying from other species with arms on their bodies
♥ Female soulbirbs can either have none or small boobs, to differentiate from males. female and male have now genitalia, and each one is different to allow reproduction -- Skabel was in charge of creating new cascabeles and with the amount of couples wishing to have a baby it was a very tiring job for him --
♥ Cascabeles saw necessary the evolution to a more strong version of themselves, due to the fact that when they descended from that limbo of the universe where they could be pure love, and appeared on this world. they realized there were many hardships and predators, therefore the evolution was vital to keep themselves alive. that doesn't mean that normal cascabeles no longer exist. just that now Soulbirbs are the guardians of cascabeles (and any other species who have good vives♥)
♥ Their legs became far more thin due to their muscles becoming harder and are now able to fully support their weight all the time. also they need to be this thin so that way they can run even faster than before
♥ The soulstone growing from their hands as claws are perfect for defense, altough their hugs can be dangerous if they arent careful, those Soulbirbs that rather spend more time hugging more often than defending their loved ones rather to keep their claws retracted all the time c:
♥ In some mutations and rare cases, soulstone can be seen growing in other parts of their body, and in other cases they have patches devoid of hair, which shows their skin glowing with the soulstone color (more will come in future species sheets)
♥ As a reward for wishing to improve and protect eachother better, Skabel blessed the evolved one with longer tails, now this silky long tail is common for Soulbirbs (but still a god only trait on cascabeles)
