Happy Birthday, Dad. You would have been 58 today, you old man you. Jeez....it's only been a few months since we had to say our last goodbye, but I still miss you so much. I wish you could have met Danny, I know all you wanted was to intimidate one of my boyfriends, but imagine getting to intimidate the one who wants to marry me- I bet you would have gotten such a kick out of that. You would have loved him too, he's such a dork- just like us.

I'm sorry I missed so many birthdays before this, I've been afraid for far too long and I let that control me, but I promise I'll do better and be strong. It's what you would have wanted and I know that.
