Javi as a vulnerable young kid, in a situation that he cannot decipher as reality or a bad nightmare to be awoken from. He cries, but no one comes.
There are times when I draw something that brings me to the point of nearly having tears in your eyes, and this was one of those drawings. Javi being the most special to me, seeing him as an innocent kid, sad and frightened, and imagining the nightmare situation he finds himself in... It hurts.
I didn't want to shade or color it to retain the original deliberate effect of the raw lines.

My response would be, "My name is Jeff, and I'm a friend of Dupe." Javi knows Dupe, doesn't he?
Plus, if it's a nightmare, it's probably one he's trapped in. Being a wizard, my OC Jeff Potter would probably astral project himself into Javi's nightmare if he'd been asleep and trapped in it for days and Dupe came to him for help since bizarre cases happen to be his area of expertise. But, I'm assuming you're referring to whether or not Javi's current or past trauma is a nightmare or real. Am I correct? In other words, you were expecting something more realistic?

You're correct in what you assume. It's one of those situations where you don't really know if your dreaming or if it's real life [though usually I get that thought in my dreams only].
