life cycle: Der-klown species

a little sketch i made showing off the stages that a "Der-klown" goes to before it fully matures.
when a female is impregnated, they will (very much like the xenomorph) form an egg sack on their abdomen where they will start laying clutches of hundreds or sometimes even thousands of eggs.
EGGS: these eggs are hart to miss as they have a bright red and white stripe pattern and are packed together in clutches of 5 to 7 eggs per small clutch.
it is best to try and destroy the eggs in this stage to prevent a Der-klown infestation due to the eggs being very fragile, hence why they are always well protected by several drones and one brood mother.
LARVE & NYMPH: the larve are extremely fast and hart to catch but also very fragile, able to be squashes easily
due to them not having developed their infamous telekinetic and reality altering powers yet.
it is heavily advised to squish as many larve as you can to thin their numbers and prevent a possible infestation.
DRONE: drones emerge from cocoons of the strong, surviving nymph larve, having grown a strong exoskeleton covered in a thick coat of fur as their insides are still soft and squish-able.
their powers will have grown substantially once they reach this form as they will attack and consume whatever living creature they will come across, gathering nutrients for their final metamorphosis.
FULLY GROWN ADULT DER-KLOWN: as a fully matured adult, the Der-klown has lost it's exoskeleton as their bodies have become incredibly durable and their infamous powers manifest in their full glory.
a fully grown adult can weigh in around 200/400 KG's but this can vary per individual specimen.
it is in this final form that their infectious saliva will also fully develop, giving them the ability to bite, infect and transform other organisms in new "der-klown"
the species is strictly predatory/carnivorous and will attack any organism that supplies enough food on sight,
however they have been observed to be opportunistic feeders.
