One of the great things about Crafty and any Furry character is his ability to transcend ethnic and racial boundaries that humans are bound by merely by the simple fact that he is non-human. His lack of a physical body means he is technically immortal, can never be enslaved, and will live as long as people remember him. And his lack of any identifiable race means he won't ever have to worry about appropriating anything that isn't his. He's the Joker card, the carte blanche, the palimpsest that anyone can write on.
