Well ladies and gentlefurs, I give you my Tonberry cosplay. That is, to look at, not to have.
Took me roughly 24 hours in a span of less than two weeks to put it together. Though it is not spot on, I am still satisfied with the results.
Costume consist of:
- Hood= Made from a Green Nike workout shirt, I used part of a green Under Armor shirt for the neck part. The eyes are made of sink strainers, painted over with a mix of spray paint and fabric paint. There is a leaf pattern painted on the temple parts of the head, done so with the use of fabric paint.
- Mittens= Also made from the material of the green Nike shirt. The sleeves of the Under Armor shirt were sewn onto them. The mitt part was made with yoga foam sewn onto the spandex.
- Hooded robe= Made from a blanket I purchased from the thrift store. The pattern used for it was made from a generic hooded sweater.
-slippers= Purchased on Ebay for $8 USD. They were the closest ones I could find to the game version design.
- Tail= Made from the remnants of both the green nike shirt, and green under armour shirt. It is supported by pieces of yoga mat, plastic pieces of a detergent bottle, and covered with the leg of some spandex pants I had.
- Knife= Purchased at The Halloween Club. I made a hole at the top and hot glued a stick into it that supports a word bubble, which is made of thin crafting foam.
- Lantern= My pride work piece, simply a painted garlic salt container, with a shaped fire emblem glued onto a piece of a thin wooden stick, supported by foam and some plastic thing I had handy (which came from a shelf set).
So yawr, this is my Tonberry cosplay. Gonna debut it at this coming PS (Prancing Skiltaire, Garden Grove, Ca, USA)... doink you there! <^_^>

I take no credit for the character TONBERRY, which is copywrite to Square Enix and affiliates. This is simply a "Fan-Made" costume/ cosplay.
