The Minotaur race of my LARP is crafted after greek culture, so a good large spartan shield was required, the design is a large hoof and family emblem (hearthenhoof) of a group of Minotaurs who are prominent blacksmiths.

The shield is made with layers of foam in traditional fashion to how these shields were made. I actually based its entire design off how this shield would traditionally be made. Shield is resistant EVA foam with some leather bindings on the back.
