Steel liked it a lot, but its coloration was monochrome, so I had an idea...

Basically what we have here is a GIMP experiment in color curves, taken all the way to a reasonable end product. Perhaps the green/red robe is still a little wildly colored though.

Other than using the Color Curves tool all I had to do was split it into layers (for separate color curves) with clipping masks, paint in some shiny green and grey places in a "multiply" layer, and apply an outline by converting alpha to selection, to path, and stroke.

Oh and I edited the tail a bit on Steel's request.
